We have two ways to install the ADA stand which are typically used, one is using the provided 3-screws and the other is using the provided 3M tape. Each video method explains how to install in detail.  For the security tether, power and any cabling, that section is at the bottom of this page.

It is highly recommended to let the 3M VHB tape cure/set during non-operating hours. Typically eight ( 8 ) hours.

It is best to ensure a few feet of length is available when it comes to the power cord and any other cables.

The cardholder can dismount the POS terminal and bring it down to the lap or hold it as needed to meet the ADA/ABA/508-ICT, VISA TAGD, and PCI requirements.

A premium security tether is included with purchase.

It is best to use a tie or tape the power cord and any other wire/cable together. This is in the case of attended (with a cashier present).

For our custom builds,  -self-checkout and unattended, we use another method for the power/cabling setting back into place upon cardholder transaction completion.

It is a must that the ADA stand is placed within the ADA/ABA reach and range for compliance.

The purpose of the ADA stand is to ensure “effective communication” , “independent and equal access”, “PIN entry and full privacy use”, and “ADA visual accommodation – meaning to ensure visual interaction with the POS terminal screen.

Businesses that do not comply with the ADA requirements are subject to discrimination and other issues that can result in large fines and legal problems regarding compliance.

VISA acceptance TADG and PCI accessibility and privacy contractual requirements apply.
