Installation

Two ways of installing our ADA and SIDEKICK stands. The first video shows how to install them easily using the 3-screw method, and the second video shows how to install them super fast using 3M Glue Pads. The 3 screw takes a little more work but is still simple to do. The 3M glue pad installation is straightforward and very fast. 

The 3M on the ADA t-plate in the video is what your POS terminal will mount to. It is for flat-back terminals and works very well. It is for the ADA cardholder dismount release feature.

Anytime you mount your POS terminal or hand-held, be sure to take a photo of the back of your checkout terminal prior, as any numbers like serial, or service numbers may be of use for any technical or service calls for the terminal or hand-held device. In some device cases, the bottom plastic or rubber boots may need to be removed for a solid fit. 

Ensure the U-shape pull handle is positioned within the accessible reach range (defined in ADA Standards 308).

The pull handle and detachable part should be stable. The ADA Stand is easy to maneuver without requiring excessive force.

The operation of the U-shape pull handle and detachment process meets the criteria in 309.4 for single-handed use.

This approach ensures that the detachable POS terminal components meet the ADA accessibility requirements, promoting inclusivity, ease of use, and privacy for individuals with disabilities.
